Deletion Request
Last updated: 2026.07.07
You can request deletion by sending an email. We will do our best to respond promptly and in any event within one month after we receive your request and any information we may reasonably need to verify your identity and locate your data. When an account becomes inactive, Somera deletes the account and associated Platform Data after a 30 day grace period. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Platform specific deletion windows: independently of the one month response window above, once your request is verified, or when you revoke Somera's authorization on a Platform, Somera deletes the related stored Platform Data within the following periods:
- YouTube and Google: Somera does not store YouTube API Data — every query is answered with fresh data from YouTube API Services. The only stored item is your authorization token, which is deleted, together with any other data relating to your YouTube connection, as soon as possible and in any event within 7 calendar days after you revoke access or request deletion.
- X: stored content is deleted or modified as soon as reasonably possible, and within 24 hours after a removal or modification request from X or the applicable account owner.
- LinkedIn: content collected on your behalf through LinkedIn APIs is deleted immediately upon your request or when you close your Somera account.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram): Platform Data is deleted as soon as reasonably possible after your request, or when you no longer have an account.
- All Platforms: authorization tokens are deleted when you disconnect the Platform or revoke access.
1. Revoke Somera access on connected Platforms
Revoke Somera's access or remove the Somera app integration in each Platform you have connected:
- Google and YouTube: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions or the Google security settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions
- Facebook and Instagram: Meta Business Integrations settings in Meta Business Suite
- X: Settings and privacy > Security and account access > Apps and sessions > Connected apps
- LinkedIn: Settings and Privacy > Data privacy > Other applications > Permitted services
- TikTok: Settings > Security > Manage app permissions
- Telegram: Bot or app connection settings
- VKontakte: Settings > Security > Apps
- Mastodon and Bluesky: Application settings on the relevant instance or service
- Apple App Store, Google Play, Huawei AppGallery: remove any configured connections in store consoles
- WhatsApp Business: remove or disable the WhatsApp Business phone number connection in your WhatsApp Business Platform provider console
2. Request deletion from Somera
Email your request, using the subject line "Account deletion request". Include your account email and the list of connected Platforms. We will confirm when deletion is complete.
3. What Somera deletes
At the end of the 30 day grace period for inactive accounts, Somera deletes the account and associated Platform Data from Somera systems. In addition, when you revoke Somera's authorization on a Platform, Somera treats the revocation itself as an instruction to stop accessing your data and deletes the stored Platform Data relating to that connection within the platform specific windows above, including within 7 calendar days for your YouTube connection (where only authorization tokens are stored, since YouTube API Data is never stored in Somera systems), without requiring a separate email request. Security and compliance logs that must be retained by law are minimized and are not used to provide Services.
4. Notes
Deleting content on a Platform does not automatically delete copies already stored by that Platform or third parties. Platform processing is governed by the Platform's own terms and policies. If a Platform or site owner asks us to disable a connector, we will disable it promptly.
